Everyday App X Chainrails: Making Habit Tracking Rewarding and Profitable
Chainrails and EverydayApp

In Q1, Chainrails and EverydayApp, the crypto habit-tracking app, announced the integration of Chainrails into the app to power deposits. The integration allowed users to stake on their own habits seamlessly, funding with crypto from over 12 chains, no bridging or token-hunting required.

I signed up and used the habit tracker app myself to see what that actually feels like day to day, and here’s everything I learned about EverydayApp, and how Chainrails works quietly in the background to make staking on your habit easier.

The Problem

Every January, millions of us download a habit tracker, promise ourselves this is the year, and quietly delete the app by February. Don’t judge me, most habit trackers are glorified checklists and streaks, because I’m still snoozing my alarm.

To help all of us, EverydayApp took a different approach.

Meet EverydayApp: the all-in-one habit tracking app

Building habits made easy with EverydayApp

EverydayApp is a habit tracker built on Starknet to help raise the stakes by challenging you to put your money on the habits you value. EverydayApp trended as the second-highest active app on Starknet in mid-July.

The app is designed to help you monitor the habits you want to cultivate, and hold you accountable as you work to meet your goals.
The app runs in two modes, and whether or not you put down any stakes, you’re getting a great experience from the app.

  • Normal Mode — record your habits, log daily check-ins, build a streak, and earn badges, completely free.
  • Staking Mode — everything in Normal Mode, plus real money on the line. You put up a stake behind your habit, and follow-through is no longer just a matter of willpower.

Here are four ways that EverydayApp helps you optimize your habit tracking journey

1. Intuitive UI/UX

Using an app designed to optimize habit tracking should not feel like another chore.

EverydayApp is clean and easy to understand. The aesthetic is calm and soothing (I know those are strange words for an app, but trust me it’s true),

Each section is separate from the noise of the others, so you’re never looking at more than you need to in the moment. Instructions and permissions are clear and upfront, so there’s never hesitation because you’re stuck.

2. A Sense of Community

On EverydayApp, you stake, you’re not staking alone. Your money goes into a shared pool with everyone else attempting the same challenge, and everyone who completes it shares in the spoils.

This yielded the most unexpected benefit of using the app. When you stake on the app, you join a pool. While there’s no chat feature or comment section (because then it would become a distraction), the presence of other people doing the same task you’re doing makes the experience feel less solitary.

3. Habit Tracking Rewards: Streaks and Badges

Streaks are motivating for an obvious reason: watching the number climb is its own reward. When you complete tasks successfully twice in a row, you start  a streak. Milestones are marked with badges and the longer your streak, the more badges you acquire

4. Staking: upping the ante

Streaks are a fundamental part of every modern habit tracking app, but sometimes, it is not enough. That’s when EverydayApp transforms into a  “commitment tracker” by letting you stake USDC on whether or not you follow through.

And don’t worry about accidentally committing funds. Confirming a stake requires sliding to confirm rather than tapping a button, making it much harder to do by mistake.

 What Happens If You Fail?

Life doesn’t care about your streak. You give up on focus mode or sleep through your alarm once. Most habit tracking apps just reset you to zero, and if you’re like me, then starting fresh tomorrow makes it not fun anymore. EverydayApp takes a different approach.

  • One slip doesn’t cost you everything. Failing a check-in during a staking challenge doesn’t mean you automatically forfeit your entire stake. You get three chances: the first miss costs you 20% of your stake, the second costs 30%, the third costs 50%.
  • More layers between you and your distractions: Screen Minimizer, the new feature shipped recently on the app is designed to make focus easier and succumbing to distractions harder. The app also allows you to take calls without ending your focus mode

How Chainrails Powers EverydayApp’s Cross-Chain Deposits

Earlier this year, the team integrated Chainrails to remove one of the biggest onboarding hurdles in Web3: getting funds onto the right chain.

Instead of asking users to bridge assets or swap tokens before they can participate, EverydayApp now lets them deposit with the assets they already own.

Here’s how the integration works.

The Challenge: Onboarding Users Across Chains

EverydayApp was built on Starknet and initially accepted only USDC. While this made sense from an infrastructure standpoint, it also meant users first had to acquire the correct asset on the correct network before they could create a stake.

For many users, especially those new to crypto, that process involved multiple unfamiliar steps:

  • Bridging assets to Starknet
  • Swapping into the required token
  • Paying fees across different networks
  • Switching wallets

Every additional step increased the chances that users would abandon onboarding before ever using the product.

The Everyday team wanted crypto to power the experience, not become the experience.

Asthe app’s founder Arjun explains:

“Our intention behind building Everyday is that crypto acts as an invisible layer and people use the app for its features, and Chainrails plays an important part in allowing people to join from any chain to use EverydayApp.”

The Solution: Cross-Chain Deposits Without the Complexity

Chainrails enables users to fund their stake using the tokens and wallets they already have, regardless of which supported chain they’re on.

Behind the scenes, Chainrails handles the routing and settlement required to deliver the funds in the format the EverydayApp expects. Users aren’t asked to manually bridge assets or perform token swaps before getting started.

The result is a much shorter onboarding flow that feels closer to a traditional consumer application than a typical multichain crypto product.

A Native Experience for Both Users and Developers

Cross-chain functionality often comes with significant engineering overhead. Teams may need to integrate multiple bridges, manage chain-specific logic, or rely on external interfaces that interrupt the user journey.

Chainrails abstracts that complexity behind a single SDK and webhook system, allowing developers to add cross-chain deposits without redesigning their application.

For EverydayApp, the deposit flow remains entirely inside its own interface, giving users a seamless experience while keeping implementation straightforward for the engineering team.

Kshitij, Engineering Lead at EverydayApp, shared:

“The integration was extremely smooth with clear documentation. There was no issue while integrating using the Chainrails SDK, and it helped us build a great UX for bridging. Overall amazing experience with the SDK and the webhooks.”

Expanding Beyond Starknet

Supporting only native Starknet deposits naturally limited EverydayApp’s potential audience.

With Chainrails, users from multiple ecosystems can now participate without first moving funds manually into Starknet. This reduces onboarding friction while allowing the team to reach users wherever they already hold assets.

The results have been immediate:

“We’ve completed multiple successful bridging transactions, and the latest update helped us add Solana as a bridging option.”

Even with minimal promotion, the integration has already enabled dozens of successful cross-chain deposits, extending EverydayApp’s reach well beyond Starknet.

Looking Ahead

For EverydayApp, Chainrails isn’t simply another bridge integration; it’s part of the product experience, designed to optimize your habit tracking. Users can begin staking in just a few clicks, while the complexity of cross-chain infrastructure stays entirely behind the scenes.

As more chains and assets continue to be supported, the barrier between users and applications becomes smaller, allowing developers to focus on building great products instead of managing cross-chain infrastructure.

TL;DR

EverydayApp integrated Chainrails to eliminate the friction of funding stakes on Starknet. Users can now deposit from multiple supported chains using the assets they already own, without manually bridging or swapping tokens. The integration was quick to implement, preserves a fully native user experience, and has already processed 68 successful cross-chain deposits while expanding support to Solana.
